- Recolor, gradient, outline, or add shadow to the mark.
- Stretch, rotate, or re-letter the wordmark.
- Pair the mark with Kinetic branding. Meridian stands alone.
Color
- Default to paper and ink. Add crimson sparingly.
- Use brass only for seals, stamps, or internal marks.
- Hold AA contrast on all text.
- Use crimson as a background for long copy.
- Introduce new accent colors. The palette is closed.
- Use Kinetic green anywhere in Meridian.
Typography
Voice & Tone
Calm, not urgent.
No countdowns, no pressure, no salesmanship. The reader is already in crisis. We lower the temperature.
Exact, not vague.
Name the process, the step, and the limit. We say what we can do and what we cannot, plainly.
Institutional, not personal.
Meridian is an office, not a founder. We never overpromise a recovery. We describe the machinery.
Humane, not clinical.
Two victim sets matter: the people held and the people who lost. We hold both with dignity.
- Lead with the next concrete step the reader can take.
- Use short, declarative sentences. Plain words.
- Cite the process: trace, freeze, disclose, coordinate.
- Guarantee a recovery or a timeline.
- Use hype, fear, or urgency tactics.
- Claim partners as owned. Forensics is "Powered by" a partner.
Elements
Three weights
Ink 2px to open a document, crimson 2px to mark a section, hairline to separate rows.
Bordered, not filled
Cards use a single hairline border on white. Soft shadow only on hover. No heavy fills, no gradients.
Measured columns
Content holds to a 1140px measure. Generous margins. Whitespace signals that nothing is hidden.
The meridian line
A ringed crosshair: a line of longitude through a fixed point. Use as favicon, seal, and section mark.
Mono labels
Status, case codes, and confidentiality marks set in Plex Mono, uppercase, wide tracking.
Less, on purpose
If an element is decorative, remove it. The brand earns trust by looking like a record, not an ad.
